How to Play Solitaire
Klondike Solitaire is played with a standard 52-card deck. Cards are dealt into seven columns (the tableau) with the first card face-up. Each subsequent column gets one more card, creating a stair-step pattern. The remaining cards form the stock pile, which you'll draw from during gameplay.
Objective
Your goal is to build four foundation piles, one for each suit, starting with Aces and building up to Kings. To achieve this, you'll need to strategically move cards between tableau columns, following the rule of alternating colors and descending values.
Solitaire Setup
- Seven tableau piles arranged from left to right
- First pile has one card, second has two, and so on
- Top card of each pile is face-up
- Remaining cards form the stock pile
- Four empty spaces for foundation piles
Solitaire Rules
- Build tableau piles in descending order (King to Ace)
- Alternate red and black cards in tableau piles
- Build foundation piles in ascending order by suit
- Move any face-up card or sequence to another tableau pile
- Only Kings can be placed in empty tableau spaces
Strategies to Win Solitaire
- Focus on revealing face-down cards early
- Create empty columns strategically for temporary storage
- Don't rush to move cards to foundation piles

Turn 1 vs Turn 3 Solitaire
Turn 1 Mode
Draw one card at a time from the stock pile. This is the easier version, perfect for beginners and casual players.
Turn 3 Mode
Draw three cards at once, with only the top card playable. This version is more challenging and is considered the traditional casino rules.
